Broken Hill Family History Group

The Broken Hill Family History group is a real treasure, with extensive handwritten records on a range of topics such as births, deaths, mine employment, and an impressive collection of over 12,000 photos. Established in 1977, the group boasts a membership of more than 60 individuals and is led by local author Jenny Camilleri. You can find it located downstairs at the Broken Hill Railway Station on Crystal Street, right behind the Geoff DeMain mural. This volunteer-run organisation provides an invaluable service to both the local community and cultural tourists alike.
