Horizon Gallery

Horizon Gallery

Albert Woodroffe was a pioneer of the art scene in Silverton, having set up one of the first galleries in the area in 1987. Today, the Horizon Gallery is one of the oldest galleries in inland Australia and is easily recognized by the corrugated iron camel emerging from the side of the building. In addition to Woodroffe’s own work, the gallery features pieces from many other artists, including the late Bronwen Standley-Woodroffe, Clark Barrett, Warwick Fuller, Lindsay Womersley, Jennifer Harnett, Laima Politis, and James Evan Jones. Visitors can also find sculptures, ceramics, glass, and woodwork on display. Despite being hidden outback treasures, the work exhibited at the gallery is of exceptional quality.
