Julie Hart Gallery

Julie Hart Gallery

Julie Hart is a renowned Australian artist and the daughter of the internationally acclaimed painter, sculptor, and inventor, “Pro Hart”. While Julie inherited her father’s technique, her style is more refined and detailed, unlike her father’s bolder and more assertive style. She spent most of her childhood in her father’s painting studios and art gallery, which inspired and fostered her love for art. She studied under her father for over 35 years, and they shared studios before she was even five years old. Julie’s artwork mainly consists of native and abstract flowers, riverscapes, and landscapes, painted with oil paints using a brush or palette knife. Her scenes often depict life in the Australian outback, with its vivid heat hazes and strong harsh outback colors. Her artwork also includes bold palette knife florals that give a 3-dimensional feel on rich textured backgrounds. To see Julie’s work, visit her website or arrange a visit to her studio in Broken Hill.
