Jenny Cattonar, a talented artist from Genoa, Italy, was born in 1946 and immigrated to Australia in 1951. She settled in Broken Hill and discovered her passion for drawing at a young age, being taught by her father, who was himself a professional artist and fresco painter. Jenny completed a 3-year Commercial Art course with the Art Training Institute during her teenage years and is now widely recognized for her stunning portraiture. She has created portraits of several notable individuals, including former Broken Hill City Council Mayor Peter Black, The Brushmen of the Bush, and Kevin McCormick, the President of the Bankstown Sporting Club.
